About
Welcome
to Carol’s Walls of Faux, specializing in custom faux finishes
located in Northern Virginia. Your walls should represent the
personality of you and your family. Whether you want to create
old world charm with a look of Tuscany, a beautiful formal room
with embedded Lusterstone or Venetian Gem, maybe a simple glaze
or perhaps a stenciled border, let me create the look for you.
The possibilities are endless.
I have studied at the Finishing
School in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, under Studio Director Carol
Kemery, The Faux School in Frederick, Maryland under Studio Director
Ronald Layman and again at The Faux School under guest instructor
Barth White of Barths Faux Studio in Las Vegas. I have also trained
with Adrienne van Dooren of Creative Enterprises in Alexandria,
Virginia and Melanie Royals of Royal Design Studio in San Diego,
CA.
Some of my work has been
published in Elan Magazine, Paint Magic Magazine, and in the book
“The House That Faux Built: Transform Your Home From Shabby
to Showplace Using Paints, Plasters & Creativity”. While
working at the House That Faux Built, I worked side by
side with various nationally known artists from around the world.
